  • George F in Ravenswood displaced New Yorker

I grew up in NYC, and the Harlem Renaissance was a source of pride. In those days we had elderly writers and artists of all kinds speak at our school to talk to us about those days and some of the famous people they encountered, and some who influenced them.

  • Bronzeville Curmudgeon Director, Bronzeville Visitor Information Center

Some brilliant young people in Chicago attending Northeastern Illinois University Center for inner City Studies, are embracing Bronzeville, as a an emerging, internationally significant African American oriented heritage tourism destination that rivals Harlem in New York!

Thank you, Mr. Lucas, for the wonderful lecture, tour, and inspiring words to our aspiring scholars on yesterday's visit.

Please forward your voucher to me, Dr. Johnson, or Dr. Worrill himself for the rental fee. And if you need my assistance with anything, please do not hesitate to contact me.
