    You're right lets correct you

Let's get a couple of laws straight:

Bicyclists are permitted to ride two abreast down the road in one lane.. WRONG

9-52-050 – Bicyclists must ride single file, exceptions; bicyclists may ride two abreast when riding two abreast does NOT impede the normal and reasonable movement of traffic.

Bicyclists are entitled to the full use of a lane. And again WRONG

9-52-040(c) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (e) of this section and bicyclist upon the roadway at less then the normal speed of traffic at the time and place shall ride as near as the practicable and safe to the right hand side of the roadway

Mary O'Connor and her dirty tactics.....

Today I received a post card from signed by the wife of a friend of mine encouraging me to vote for her. When you start asking people to go through their rolodex and send out HAND WRITTEN postcards begging for votes, that puts strain upon friendships. On top of everything else, the postcard CLAIMS she has made major investments in local schools, parks, and infrastructure. First of all, she has added a HUGE gymnasium to Edison School, which it did not need. Secondly, the beautification of parks was something the current mayor put into effect the first year of his administration, which O'Connor had NOTHING to do with. That was the mayor's doing, not her's. And thirdly, my street has YET to be paved....it is a virtual NIGHTMARE to drive down. Infrastructure my butt. The postcard also states "she's been given the strength to lead and deliver for our community". She neither leads, nor, delivers. She is just a Rahm brown nose. So to Laurie Nowack, save the postage, we support the right MAN for the job. O'Connor has no clue how to handle the largest ward in the city of Chicago. She is way over her head.

  • I will say this again...having a business in the ward you represent is wrought with opportunity for corruption, cronyism and special favors granted...Ms. O'Connor can't leave fast enough!!!

  • And her campaign workers go around stealing Napolitano's yard signs.

Edison Park single family home unit sales up 40%, median price up 12%

The lowest priced home to sell is 7755 W Columbia, Chicago IL 60631 for $220,000.  The foreclosed raised ranch may have had a "squatter" situation creating risk and downward pressure on the price of the home.  It still sold fast.

The highest sold homes by far this quarter is 6850 N Olcott, Chicago IL 60631 for $895,000. This was also the highest priced home sold in the first quarter (year to year) over the past 5 years. The custom built new construction home sits on a 50' double lot.

Looking for a fixer upper in Edison Park/Norwood Park (Norwood Park Circle would be ideal)

I've exhausted my search for a home in these neighborhoods. I figure I'd give this a try. I am looking for a big, run down house in Edison Park or Norwood Park that needs a total renovation/ gut-rehab. If someone runs across one or has one they are looking to sell please let me know. It's really slim pickens out there right now.

  • Marcin Talaga Realtor/General Contractor

I just emailed you Virgo Girl. Would love to take a look sometime.

  • TDawg54 Resident of Old Norwood

Ginormous house on ... Nickerson I think. Near Nina just south of White Steeple. It's been empty for several years, not certain if the bank has it now or what. It's a new build but has water damage in the lower level and I'm told by a friend in the FD it's in some disrepair. There's info posted on the front.

Under Contract! Buyers win Edison Park charmer in multiple offer

We recently helped buyer clients secure an attractive brick Edison Park single family home at 7429 N Ottawa. The estate sale listing went on at a low price attracting multiple offers. The neighborhood is known as a haven for city workers and sales have been hopping.

The 7400 block of North Ottawa is lined with manicured lawns and well kept bungalows and Georgians.
