Has anyone used Everywhere Wireless, for Internet Service?
A friend of mine referred me to this company, who apparently installs wireless internet in condo and apartment buildings, on a bulk basis, at discounted rates - i.e. less than $15/unit/month - Can anyone provide any feedback about this company? Here's their website: www.everywherewireless.com. We're considering it for our condo building, but I'd like to hear more thoughts about the company.

The Old Town apartment rental guide
Income-restricted apartments. There are several large complexes in Old Town which have apartments limited to residents who meet maximum income requirements: Atrium Village, 545 W Division, and the Marshall Field Garden Apartments.
This article has 3 other Chicago locations (Show)Old Town‘s boundaries are Division St (1200 N) north to North Ave (1600 N) and Clark St (100 W) west to Clybourn Ave and Larrabee St (600 W). Old Town is in the Lincoln Park“>Near North community area.
If you exhaust everything Old Town has to offer, the dense nightlife and dining options of Division and Rush Streets are a few short blocks to the east, and the Clark St and Lincoln Ave strips in Lincoln Park are a few blocks to the north.
There’s a CTA Red Line stop at Clark and Division streets, and a Brown Line stop just south of North Ave on Sedgwick. Multiple CTA bus lines run frequently along Clark St, LaSalle St and Division St.

I was laid off recently and need to find a good agency or two or three to search for jobs. I'm already trying the online outlets, but want to expand my search. Does anyone have any good recommendations? I'm in the support field, Executive Assistant, etc.

Cabrini Green Rowhouses
Does anyone know the current plan for the Cabrini rowhouses? I know that back in March the non-renovated ones were closed down. However, I have seen little information since then. I had read some rumors that there was a decision made that the site would NOT stay fully CHA, but that there wasnt a decision on how the land would be used.
It will be interesting to see what they do there with that being the last pocket of all CHA housing in an otherwise redeveloped area.

Old Town family Old town or greater old Cabrini neighborhoodIt was my understanding the rowhouses had historic significance and could not be torn down. Maybe not?
-
Well, they were built in the 1940s, so i dont think they have any sort of automatic status based on age. Also, they are not currently on the list of Chicago's historical landmarks, so they would have to be added to the list (cant believe there is much chance of that).

CAMERAL LOST FRI 4/6/12 OUTSIDE JHO, ON MI AVE, CHICAGO AVE, OR ON THE RED LINE - PLEASE HELP!!! MANY MEMORIES OF MY BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN ON MEMORY CARD.
I lost my camera on Fri. 4/6/12 either in front of the John Hancock Building, on Michigan Ave., Chicago Avenue or on the RED LINE. The camera is a silver Nikon or a Canon. It is in a case. If you could please ask your family, friends, or co-workers if they may have seen it or heard of someone finding a camera. There are some beautiful memories of my children on the memory card. I just want my memory card back. I will provide a reward for the return of my memory card.
Does anyone know who I would contact to find out if my camera has been found?

What is the city ordinance for outside workers?
With the warmer weather here, much earlier than expected" what are the proper times for workers to begin outside work (noise polllution)? Over the past three weeks I have been woken by trucks, banging, motorcycles etc. Our building cannot switch over to cool air until June 1st (city ordinance), so our windows are open until then with respect. I was lead to believe in years past it was 8 am to 4 pm. Does anyone know this answer? What time can workers begin heavy machinery, hammering and banging? And for the motorcycles can they be sited after 11 am?

For construction, work can be done between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm.
Does not apply to any construction, demolition or
repair work of an emergency nature or to work on public improvements authorized by a governmental body or agency. For example, CTA Blue Line station improvements on Chicago/Milwaukee were done overnight. Spectacular jackhammer noise at 1am did interesting things to human brains trying to function during daytime.

This company's service is really below par. Takes days for support to get back to you. Then when they do same guy always calls back days later offers no refunds and treats you like you are an idiot. Told girlfriend better off bundle pkg with cable att. Then their website what a joke they are so not customer service. Don't use it bro your better off paying 15 more and knowing you have access 99.9 percent of the time. And remember the 15 is per IP so if you have 4 machines at home and a printer ~ forget about it.
FYI - Apparently, this is all based on the agreement that your building manager or condo association structures with the company. We just had them install service in our building for only $7/unit (not per IP/person) and so far, we've been very pleased.
This is a sub-par company at best. I did some exploring after a poor experience and found out that the company is literally like 3 guys that are trying to make quick money by doing the legwork that anyone can do. Their customer service is horrible and they dont know what they are doing. You are better off trying to contact the provider and putting in a little extra work to actually work through a real provider. I wouldnt use them again...brutal.
