2 Wounded In Dan Ryan Shooting, 3rd May Have Been Hit By Stray Bullet

Police said that man told investigators he was walking along LaSalle Street near 31st Street when he was shot. LaSalle runs alongside the Dan Ryan at 31st, but police have not said if that bullet came from the shooting on the expressway.

After Five Boys Tried To Rob Woman Of Car, She Chases Them Down

Jill Bradley said Monday five boys snatched her keys out of her hands at 5:30 p.m. in the 3600 block of South Martin Luther King Drive and tried to steal her Lincoln.

She said when the boys ran, she followed them in her car through several alleys in Douglas to an apartment building on the 3500 block of Giles Avenue.

She said she was able to use the tracking on her phone to determine the boys dumped her phone somewhere near Matthew House, a supportive service center for homeless men at 3722 S. Indiana Ave.

John B. Pryor was last seen about 1 p.m. Saturday in the area of 41st Street and Indiana Avenue, according to an alert from Chicago Police.

He is known to frequent the area of 43rd Street and Calumet Avenue, as well as the area surrounding the 47th Street Green Line Station and a McDonald’s restaurant at 144 S. Wabash Ave., police said.

The two boys, one armed with a silver handgun, went up to a person just before 8 p.m. on June 28 on the 100 block of East 29th Street just east of Williams Park and demanded money. When the victim said they didn’t have any money, the two boys ran away, according to police.

The robbery comes after a string of such robberies involving young kids on the blocks east of Williams Park and north of Dunbar Park, 300 E. 31st St.
