    1) CHICAGO HOUSING INITIATIVE (CHI Coalition)
    Call on City Council to Reform the CHA, calling on City Council to pass
    legislation to reform the CHA that will require:... a) 1-for-1 replacement of any public housing unit that is demolished or converted using city funds.
    b) Rebuilding of promised replacement housing at the Ickes, LeClaire Courts, and other demolished developments.
    c) An end to rampant vacancies and the leasing of the more than 3,500 vacant units.
    d) Full use of the over 13,000 funded but un-leased vouchers.
    e) Oversight of CHA's almost $1 billion budget and accountability for over $500 million in unspent money.

    I will attend but not be speaking at the 7/30 SRO Moratorium press conference. The host will be Norm of ONE Northside. A Milshire Hotel resident, Commissioner Davis, and a leader of the Metropolitan Tenant's Organization are the selected speakers. We are expecting the moratorium to pass on 7/30.
