  • I am so sorry to hear this. Although it has been a while since I have visited the restaurant, I have been a patron of Yoshi's since he came to the neighborhood in the early 80's. His food was amazing and he and his wife were good restaurateurs. My condolences to Nobuko and all the staff at Yoshi's. He will definitely leave a void in this neighborhood and in the national culinary scene.

  • G.

This breaks my heart. Yoshi was a good guy. He had a boat next to ours for awhile. I'm so very sad to read this. Rest in peace, gentle man.

Katsumura will leave his mark on Boystown in more ways than one; a sign designating Aldine east of Halsted "Yoshi Katsumura Way" remains next to his restaurant.
