Called the police X 2, Never showed up!

So last night, across the alley from my home, someone was breaking the windows out of a vacant home...I called the police & the dispatcher said a car would be sent. Fast-forward, 20 minutes, the vandalist(s) are really breaking up the place & I call the police again...The dispatcher says, I see your location as further east that what you are telling me, are you sure of the address? DUH! I've lived there for 15 years, I think I know my address! LONG STORY SHORT....No police showed up!

  • And also the one taking the 911 call is not a dispatcher it is a call taker. And make sure you are specific when you call. And please do attend your CAPS meeting

  • 30+ yrs Long-time resident, trying to help keep it livable

If you call 911, & no police arrive, call back. If by then the activity is over, make note of the date & time & go to the caps meeting. You will probably meet the officers on your beat. They can maybe explain why your call was not answered - maybe they did come by and the problem people were gone. I don't know. But if you do show up on the third
Wednesday of the month (& it is right there in the station meeting room not a block away from your house ) you will at least talk to the officers who can help & need to know your concerns.
