17million in tax rebate refund

I saw on the news yesterday that the city aldermen are demanding that the mayor allow each alderman to use that money for their community. If this is so, we need to make sure our alderman put Ashburn portion to good use.

  • Pretty sneaky of the mayor to tax me $300 more and then when I apply for a rebate, I get $25. So the $17 million of taxpayer $$$ is now being used by the mayor for defense of illegals and whatever project he wants to do.
The alderman are right in getting the $$$ for their constituents, but they should give all of the $$$$ to helping the constituents, not allowing the mayor to use our $$$$ as his personal pocketbook.

Yes, there is a change to the Ashburn community. Although, section 8 is a small part of the issue- some section 8 families in this neighborhood work and are responsible with the up keep of the property and do not cause issues. We need to also look at the homeowner who is renting to section 8 families or renting to whomever. The homeowner is renting to make money and possibly does not care who they rent to. Additionally there needs to be a vetting process before we consider to rent on the block. I would like to understand how other prominent neighborhoods in our area decides who, and how they curve the number of section 8 families in their neighborhoods and follow that practice. We also need to keep in mind not all renters are on section 8.
