Woman, 25, Arrested In Stabbing Near Jefferson Park Blue Line

Rebecca Spelz, of the 3100 block of West Ainslie Street, was arrested around 3:15 a.m. Saturday in the 4800 block of North Milwaukee Avenue, according to a Chicago Police spokesman. She was charged with aggravated battery.

Hammond was taken to University of Chicago Medicine in "extremely critical" condition, Fire Deputy District Chief Ron Dorneker said. The 31-year-old, of the 4400 block of North Drake Street, was later pronounced dead, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed.

On Thursday, the zoning committee approved the Jefferson Place development located at Lipps and Ainslie. I am proud to usher in this mixed-use, transit-oriented development directly adjacent to the city’s second busiest transit hub outside of the Loop.

I have exciting news for the Jefferson Park neighborhood! I am pleased to welcome Weston’s Coffee & Tap Co., 4872 N. Milwaukee, to the neighborhood. The business recently obtained permits and is working on interior renovations ahead of their mid-August opening.

While you’re at the market, keep an eye out for Good City Group. They will be asking market-goers to help map the locations of three (or more) benches. This is a community-driven initiative with the generous support of Gale Street Inn, 4914 N. Milwaukee.

Authorities shut down suspected 'high-volume' brothel near Des Plaines

In Chicago, authorities raided an apartment on the 3900 block of West Lawrence Avenue, where Salomon Diaz, 19, of Aurora, was charged with promoting prostitution. He also was wanted on an arrest warrant for aggravated battery to a police officer, authorities said.

Suspect Exposes Himself To Girls: Chicago Police

Chicago police say the first incident happened in the 4800 block of North Sacramento on May 8. The second incident was in the 3600 block of West Ainslie on May 22.

Then, on May 26 in the 4100 block of North Richmond, a man in a red or burgundy van called an 11-year-old girl over but she ran away and reported him.

Later that same day, in the 4300 block of North Spaulding, a 30-year-old woman said around 9:40 p.m., a man approached her from behind and touched her midsection. He ran off when she confronted him.
