Permanent street sweeping signs gone in Noble Square

I noticed that this week, on Tuesday and Wednesday, that there were paper signs up announcing street sweeping dates in place of the permanent signs that were up before with set dates. The signs were put up on Monday, which means only a days notice to move cars before they are ticketed or towed. This seems like a way to make more money for the city by catching people off guard and ticketing.

  • Why is street sweeping tied the ward? The wards are so gerrymandered that the drivers probably spend half of their time driving between streets and not sweeping.

  • Sighryn Roscoe resident

I think a lot of those permanent signs will be coming down. Think about it: the city has to clean those streets once a month like the sign says.

I think my area gets street cleaning maybe 3 times for the season. Would be nice to have it done once a month.
