    CHICAGO - Two South Side charter schools will be saved despite Chicago Public Schools' efforts to close them. CPS planed to close Amandla Charter High School in Englewood, Betty Shabazz-Barabara A. Sizemore Academy in Greater Grand Crossing and Bronzeville Lighthouse Charter in Bronzeville, but the State Charter School Commission voted to save Amandla and Sizemore at a Tuesday meeting.
