After you post, you’ll have 10 minutes to remove it, in case of errors.

Picking a place to post

You can post a message to an address, intersection, block or neighborhood. You can post an event to an address or intersection.

You should pick the location that best suits the news you're posting. If it's about a business or building, post to an address or interseciton. If it's about a bigger topic that affects your entire neighborhood, post there. By picking a precise place, your message may actually be seen by more neighbors. This is because it'll be seen by all followers of that place, and followers of all neighborhoods and other areas that include that place.

Note that you can't post to ZIP codes or to custom locations. Custom locations are for defining more precisely the area of the city you want to follow. If you want your message to be seen by more people, we encourage you to share it with your friends on Twitter, Facebook and other networks.

Finally, we ask that you avoid posting the same message to multiple locations. Read our community guidelines for more.
