The city and the Chicago Park District are once again partnering to provide Christmas tree recycling and free mulch to city residents.

You can drop off your tree between Saturday, Jan. 5, and Friday, Jan. 18, at any 23 locations around the city. Mulch should be available on a limited basis after Friday, Jan. 11.

The nearest drop-off sites to the 45th Ward are at: Norwood Park, 5801 N. Natoma; Portage Park, 4100 N. Long; Riis Park, 6201 W. Wrightwood; Kelvyn Park, 4438 W. Wrightwood; and North Park Village, 5801 N. Pulaski.

Please help keep the remnants of the holiday season out of the landfill by participating in the program. For more information, log onto www.chicagorecycles.org.
