On November 13th, 2007, at approximately 11:45 a.m. Chicago Police were notified of a missing 13 year old autistic child who was reported missing from the area of Ashland and Monroe. The child ran out of his home and was last seen wearing an orange Chicago Bears T-Shirt and red plaid pajama bottoms. The immediate danger was the child could only communicate at the level of a 1 year old.

City crews are repairing the Harrison Street bridge over the South Branch of the Chicago River. During the work, which is repairing the bridge and superstructure, the bridge will be closed to westbound traffic. It will remain open to eastbound traffic. One sidewalk will remain open throughout the project.
