  • 5300 Block of South Prairie Wanted for Attempted Child Luring

    An unknown male Black offender who attempted to lure a 10 year old male victim into his vehicle. The offender pulled up in his dirty beige colored van and asked the victim if he wanted some pretzels. The victim told him no but the offender persisted. The victim then ran to a friend's house. This incident occurred on January 10, 2008 at approximately 4:45 p.m. on the 5300 Block of South Prairie.

  • 5600 block of South Wabash Chicago Police Seize More Than 45 Firearms and Ammunition from the Streets of Chicago on New Year's Eve

    Police seized a variety of weapons including a Tech Nine semi-automatic pistol, a .22 caliber rifle, 22 rounds of ammunition, and four .22 caliber magazines when police viewed shots fired in the Austin (15th) District in the 5700 block of West Ohio. Police seized another Tech Nine pistol in the 700 block of East 84th Place, a .30 caliber rifle in the 4500 block of South Lacrosse, and a 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun was seized from the 4500 block of South Rockwell. A 30.06 caliber rifle, a .380 semi automatic pistol and .22 caliber shotgun were seized from the 5600 block of South Wabash.
