Chicago Fire Department Firefighters and Paramedics delivers Holiday Gifts

On Sunday, December 23, 2007, Chicago Fire Department’s District Chief Gregory Lewis, Alderman Ed Smith and Alderman Sharon Dixon were in attendance for the 6th annual event where Chicago firefighters, paramedics and chief officers handed out toys to approximately 250 children at the Independence Blvd. Seventh Day Adventist Church, located at 3808 W. Polk. Companies such as Target, Wal-Mart, Walgreen’s and the Toys for Tots organization donated all toys and gifts. The Chicago Fire Department also distributed smoke detectors to families in need.
