I'm looking for a place to cater a birthday party for 50 people next week end. So far we've called Smoque ( LOVE that place ). Looking for a place with in a ten minute drive.

Thanks for the help !

I don't know if they cater, but there's also the Pork Shoppe at California and Belmont. It has become my Smoque alternative.

    Can't go wrong with:

What was wrong with Smoque? They're awesome (and you know it)

  • Smoque would be my first choice, but Fat Willy's is good too. Though out of the neighborhood, I think it fits your driving requirement.

I recently catered from Smokin' Woody's on Lincoln. They were great and the price was reasonable.

    I recommend the pulled pork.

  • Rub BBQ. Local. Awesome. http://rubbbqcompany.com/

  • Smoque would be my choice too! Plus they are very nice to work with, in my experience. Previous life i sold to them.

Smoque catered an event I put together and they were awesome. Great food and staff!

Ok What major streets are you located near? I know of some on the South Side (born and raised South Sider) That might be able to suit your needs. Honey one is very good owner and son are cool. Fat Willies gave me bubble gut one time. Been meaning to try the Pork Shoppe on Belmont.

A new event space has opened at 2124 W Lawrence. It's an old Italian restaurant with a full kitchen and bar. They have a vintage arcade room in back and stage with sound equipment for a band, DJ, etc. It has a very nice, homey feel, not super formal. Good for adult or kid parties, performances and meetings. You can have them cater whatever you want or bring in your own. Check em out at http://www.Facebook.com/urbaninterest

  • Big Bricks @ 3830 N Lincoln. Great service and ribs on their huge smoker in the bsmt. Wide assortment of other food. Owner was v. friendly and there is an upstairs space that could accommodate a party.
