It's nice to hear that they're concerned about the car dealerships! What about the rest of us? If they break into car dealerships in the middle of the night, nobody gets hurt. If they break into my house and I'm home . . .
Police are only half of the equation to crime fighting/prevention. The other half are active community members who call them whenever they see something or someone suspicious no matter how minute it may be. Criminals start small and gradually build up as they get away with the crimes they are committing. A good example of that would be the Lincoln Park neighborhood.
